With only a couple weeks to go until Thanksgiving, I thought it would be a good week to share a few festive pie ideas. This first project takes just a couple of minutes and it will turn you into a pie baking pro.
Make your favorite pie using pre-made crust, or follow this great recipe for a homemade version. Layout the crust 1.5 times the circumference of the pie, then cut, braid and press together the ends of the three strands. If the braid ends up too short, gently hang in mid air to lengthen. Wrap the braided crust around the pie for an instant update that is both easy and pretty!
Hint: You could even do a braided crust on top of a store bought pie with a bit of cinnamon crumble to make it look straight from the oven (wink, wink).

Girl, you are totally making me want pie! Especially since the crust is my favorite part :)
Brilliant. I can’t tell you how many pies I’ve scratched my chin at thinking, “There’s got to be a way I can make this prettier…” Ye old fork press just doesn’t cut it anymore!
Thanks for sharing!
